Inventory

Think of your Glazy Inventory as a studio pantry. It’s the list of materials you actually keep on hand. Today it’s a simple list; in the future it will also track quantities so you know what needs to be reordered.

Only materials in your Inventory appear in the Calculator so your recipe options stay focused on what you can really use.

Introducing the Materials Inventory

This video introduces the Inventory:

Why are materials missing from the calculator?

The first version of Glazy showed every material in the database. It was slow and overwhelming, especially since most of those materials were irrelevant to any one studio.

Now the calculator only shows materials in your inventory. Check or update your list at https://glazy.org/inventory .

(In the future, the inventory page will be able to keep track of how much materials you use, and which materials you currently have in stock.)

How do I add a material to my inventory (and the calculator)?

  1. Log in to Glazy
  2. Find the material you want to add at https://glazy.org/materials/
  3. Click the “Add to Inventory” button. GlazyAddInventory

The material is now available in your inventory  and calculator .

Calculating Costs

Glazy can help you calculate the cost of a recipe batch. Before it can do so, all the materials in the recipe must have a price entered in your inventory. Learn more about Batch Costs.

Entering price information in Glazy Inventory

Screenshot of the Glazy Inventory page showing the price of materials. Although Glazy shows a dollar sign, the currency is whatever your prices are in. Be sure to enter both the price and the unit of measurement. In this inventory you can see that Mahavir Potash Feldspar costs $0.59 per pound.
